If one of your festive Three Wishes was to see the Norwich Theatre Royal pantomime genie on stage again, you are in luck. Kiera-Nicole Brennan returns to the venue in February to star in Milkshake Live.
She will join fellow Milkshake presenter David Ribi to star in a brand new all-singing, all-dancing pre-school musical extravaganza.
It tells the story of Milkshake! Monkey who wants to create a brand new production for a theatre audience. Unfortunately, he suffers from a bad attack of stage fright and needs the help of all his Milkshake friends to create a show that all ages can enjoy.
A host of favourites from Channel 5’s children’s TV show will join the monkey, Kiera-Nicole and David in the show on February 18. They include Fireman Sam, Noddy, Shimmer and Shine, Digby Dragon, Wissper, Nella the Princess Knight, and Floogals.
Children can learn amazing songs, dance with their Milkshake friends and watch the music, lights, costume and show come together.
The show’s director Derek Moran, who is also a Milkshake presenter, said audiences are in for a treat. He said: “The show is bursting with fun taking everyone on a journey which champions friendship and positivity. It is jam-packed with audience participation encouraging kids to get up, join in and hopefully put on their own shows at home.”
Kiera-Nicole’s return to Norwich comes weeks after she enchanted Theatre Royal audiences in the panto Aladdin. A former student of the world-famous BRIT school in London, she is a talented singer and dancer and won her high-profile TV job straight out of drama school.
Meanwhile David (below) is a graduate of the London College of Music and Royal Holloway University. He has a host of theatre credits including The Rocky Horror Show, Hairspray and Dreamboats and Petticoats, and most recently played the title role of Peter Pan in the Sheffield Lyceum pantomime.
John Bultitude, of Norwich Theatre Royal, said: “We are very excited to welcome Kiera-Nicole back to the city. Her incredible on-stage energy is sure to give the show an incredible boost. Add in David’s enthusiasm and stage flair, a host of favourite children’s characters and a story to touch the hearts of all ages, and you have the ingredients for a show which is perfect for a young audience.”
