Magical first ballet for little ones

Ever-popular visitors to Norwich, Northern Ballet returns to the Theatre Royal stage on May 20 with a children’s ballet, ideal for introducing little ones to live ballet, music and theatre.

A purr-fect family treat, its production of Puss in Boots is an enchanting and heart-warming tale based on the much-loved children’s fairy story.

Puss is no ordinary cat. Clever and charming, he takes life in his stride and befriends everyone he meets. The only thing is, he always seems to bring his master, Jack, bad luck.

Join Puss and Jack on their adventure as they meet a flurry of lovable characters, and even come face to face with royalty.

The show includes colourful costumes, beautiful dancing and music.

Puss in Boots follows Northern Ballet’s highly-successful live productions and CBeebies TV adaptations of stories such as Ugly Duckling, The Three Little Pigs, Elves & the Shoemaker, Tortoise & The Hare and Goldilocks & the Three Bears.

There will be two performances of the show – at 12noon and 2pm. Each lasts approximately 40 minutes providing a relaxed and child-friendly atmosphere where it is not a problem if children react or make a noise during the performance or need to leave the auditorium. Ideal for pre-school age children, it is guaranteed to charm children and adults alike.
