She’s starred in the likes of Sherlock, Mr Selfridge and Cuffs, and now Amanda Abbington takes on one of the best-remembered characters of the 1970s.
She’ll be here from 27 March in Mike Leigh’s masterpiece Abigail’s Party, stacking a plate with cheesy-pineapple ones and slow-dancing across the shag-pile rug to the sound of Demis Roussos.
Joining her will be a talented cast, including Ben Caplan (PC Noakes in Call The Midwife, who recently completed a run in Sunny Afternoon, the Kinks musical, in the West End).
